Flamingo Haven
Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, is a compact gem famous for its unique tree-climbing lions and spectacular flocks of flamingos that paint the alkaline lake pink.

Fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport, then a scenic 2-hour drive. Arusha Airport offers domestic connections. The park is conveniently located 126 km southwest of Arusha on the main road to Ngorongoro.
Wildlife
Famous tree-climbing lions, large hippo pods, elegant giraffes, elephants, and leopards roam the park. Flamingos, blue monkeys, and over 400 bird species make this a wildlife wonderland.

November to April (Summer season) is ideal for bird watching and flamingo viewing. The wet season brings migratory birds and spectacular flamingo gatherings.
