Important Note

  • Visa applicants are strongly advised to read the Visa Guidelines carefully before applying.
  • Apply for your visa through the Official Tanzania Immigration website (www.immigration.go.tz) ONLY, not through any other links.
  • Visa applicants are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms and Conditions available on the Visa Portal and stipulated in the Disclaimer.
  • Ensure your passport has a minimum validity of at least six months and one unused visa page before applying.
  • Visitors coming for holiday or tourism should apply for an Ordinary Visa. American passport holders visiting for these purposes should apply for a Multiple Entry Visa.
  • Applicants not from the United States wishing to apply for a Multiple Visa should carefully observe the requirements for Multiple Visa.
  • Any visa applied for incorrectly or without sufficient attachments may be rejected.
  • There are no refunds for rejected visa applications.
  • Visa applications are typically processed within ten days; ensure you follow the specified timeframe.
  • Wait for visa approval before commencing your journey, even if the stipulated timeframe expires.
  • The Tanzania Immigration Services Department may provide or withhold reasons for visa rejection.
  • Applicants from countries in the Referral Visa category are advised not to book flight tickets or make reservations in Tanzania until they receive visa approval. It's recommended to apply at least two months before the travel date.
  • The list of countries in the Referral Visa category may change, so review it periodically on our website.
  • Visa regulations and conditions can change at any time without prior notification to applicants.
  • Government Imposed increase of Taxes/Park Fees
