About This Safari

Experience the best of Tanzania on this 14-day private safari combining iconic wildlife destinations, authentic cultural encounters, and a relaxing Zanzibar beach escape.

Journey through Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, and the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater before venturing deep into the Serengeti to witness the Great Migration — including the dramatic Mara River crossings in the Northern Serengeti.

Along the way, spend time with the Hadzabe Bushmen at Lake Eyasi, visit Datoga blacksmiths, explore the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, and end your adventure on the white-sand beaches of Zanzibar with a spice tour and Swahili cultural experience.

All game drives are conducted in a private 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof, accompanied by a professional English-speaking guide. All park fees, full-board safari meals, a domestic flight to Zanzibar, and cultural activities are included.

Welcome to Tanzania! Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your professional guide, and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Receive a full briefing on your upcoming Great Migration and cultural safari adventure.

Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Depart Arusha after breakfast for a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park. Famous for its massive elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and diverse birdlife, Tarangire offers one of Tanzania's most spectacular wildlife experiences.

Day 2

Lake Manyara National Park

This morning head to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions, large flamingo flocks on the alkaline lake, and lush groundwater forest. Enjoy a scenic game drive through diverse ecosystems before retiring to Karatu.

Day 3

Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe & Datoga Cultural Experience

Today is one of the most unique days of the safari. Visit the Hadzabe Bushmen, one of Africa's last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes, and join them on a morning hunt. Afterwards, meet the Datoga blacksmiths and witness traditional metalwork techniques passed down through generations.

Karatu – Leisure & Optional Activities

A well-earned rest day at your lodge in Karatu. Spend the morning relaxing by the pool or exploring the surrounding highlands. Optional activities include a guided coffee farm tour or a walk through a local village to experience everyday life in the Karatu highlands.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater Full-Day Safari

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend a full day game driving the crater floor, home to an astonishing density of wildlife including the Big Five, vast wildebeest herds, and the rare black rhino.

Journey to Central Serengeti

Depart Karatu and drive into the iconic Serengeti National Park. En-route game drives offer excellent wildlife viewing as you enter the endless plains. Arrive at your central Serengeti camp in time for sundowners on the open savannah.

Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti

Rise early for a morning game drive in the Central Serengeti plains before heading north towards the Mara River zone. The drive north itself passes through prime wildlife corridors. Arrive at your migration camp in the afternoon, perfectly positioned for the river crossings ahead.

Northern Serengeti – Great Migration Mara River Crossings

This is the highlight of the entire safari. Spend a full day at the famous Mara River crossing points waiting for wildebeest and zebra to brave the crocodile-filled waters in one of nature's most dramatic spectacles. Your guide will position you at the best vantage points for an unforgettable experience.

Day 9

Northern Serengeti to Karatu

Enjoy a final morning game drive through the Northern Serengeti before beginning the long but scenic drive south back to Karatu. En-route stops for game viewing provide one last chance to spot predators and herds on the open plains.

Moshi – Kilimanjaro Cultural Experience

Transfer to Moshi town at the foot of Africa's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a half-day Kilimanjaro cultural experience, visiting local communities on the mountain slopes, learning about Chagga culture, and taking in spectacular views of the snow-capped summit.

Fly to Zanzibar

Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your included domestic flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, transfer to your beachfront resort and spend the rest of the day unwinding after the safari. The turquoise Indian Ocean awaits.

Zanzibar – Beach & Stone Town

A free day to enjoy Zanzibar's legendary white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. Optional excursion to Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where narrow winding alleys, carved Swahili doors, and vibrant markets tell the story of the island's rich trading history.

Departure Day
